The Nightingale Declaration Campaign seeks to gather millions of signatures from nurses in every nation of the world to support adoption of two resolutions by the 2008 United Nations General Assembly.

These resolutions would recognize 2010 as the International Year of the Nurse and establish 2011-2020 as the United Nations Decade for a Healthy World. Initial sponsors of the campaign include the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, University of Minnesota School of Nursing, Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, Decision Critical, Inc, and Jean Watson.
